I am back !
So sorry for my late upload! I’ve been two weeks in LA and one week in Cannes for the Film Festival and if you follow me on Instagram @aliandreeamakeup you know that a lot of exciting things happened while I was gone and I promise to talk about them in a future video.
In this video I’m gonna be open about a procedure I wanted to have it done for quite some time.
Found Dr. Dhir @dhirplasticsurgery on YouTube actually and I loved the before and after results. I looked at some of the comments he had and a lot of them were :” I see no difference” but I did! I saw enough to make me want to look for more of his videos, follow him on Instagram and watch all of his Stories!
Finally when I planned my trip to LA I called his office and asked for an appointment.
I was very glad when after I told him I would like to film my experience, he was totally ok with it.
I know there will be a lot of people against this kind of procedures and I understand and respect your point of view.
If you decide to leave a comment ( thank you!) please remember it took me a lot of courage to show this, some people are actually interested in this topic and very hurtful and mean comments will be deleted right away.
I will answer to some possible questions you might have.
1. Was it painful?
Not at all! Not for me at least. I left some discomfort and that is pretty much it. The doctor numbed me so I did not feel anything.
2. Did I bruise? Can you leave the house right after the procedure?
Yes. I actually had a pretty strong bruise around my left eye and on the right upper part of my lip but it went away in 4-5 days after the procedure. The day of the procedure I was very red, the next morning I was extremely swollen, but it gets better if you use a lot of ice. You can absolutely leave the house, you just need a little bit of makeup.
3. Is it permanent?
No. The fillers can last up to 1 year. Botox can last around 3 months.
4. Do I feel the fillers in my lips? ( lumps and bumps)
Not at all. That was my biggest concern when he suggested I should try the lip fillers. He uses this method that actually makes your lips feel and look extremely natural. They are still very soft when I touch them.
5. How long did it take the whole procedure?
Talking with the doctor was much longer than the procedure itself. The whole experience was about 1 hour long.
6. How much does it cost the whole procedure.
It was $3000 for everything I have done, but the prices can vary from patient to patient.
7. What was my husband’s reaction?
He couldn’t watch the video although Alex worked in a hospital in Bucharest where he would assist doctors doing surgery, but since I am his wife, he just couldn’t watch me doing it. However, he tells me the result is extremely natural and that he is happy if I am.
8. Would I do it again?
I would definitely repeat the under eye procedure inn a year or two, but I’d wait a bit longer for cheeks and lips just because I feel I am still pretty young. But I am glad I did it and it’s reversable and now I know what to expect.
9. Would I recommend Dr. Dhir?
I would recommend Dr. Dhir to my mom ! That’s how much I trust this doctor and actually I might have my mom visiting him soon, as she is 60 and she feels she could improve her overall looks as well.
If you have any more questions, please leave me a comment and I’d be very happy to answer them .
Thank you so much for your support!
